For every mother, the birth of her first child is an experience beyond words — a whirlwind of emotions that only she can truly understand. It’s a moment filled with expectation, excitement, and tender curiosity.
Will it be a boy or a girl?
Will the baby look like me… or like him?
Will my little one inherit my dimples, my eyes, my smile — or will he take after his father
When the baby is finally placed in her arms, every question just melts away. There’s only love — pure, overwhelming, indescribable.
Radhika felt all of this and more. The moment baby Tanesh was handed to her, wrapped snugly in a soft blanket, her heart swelled. He was perfect. She couldn’t stop staring at his tiny face, his delicate fingers. In that instant, the world stood still.
But the moment of bliss was short-lived.
Just before she was discharged, a doctor gently shared the news — her baby was born with a clubfoot.
Radhika froze. What?
Her mind went blank. Then the shock set in — tears, confusion, disbelief. “Why my child?” she whispered through sobs. “Will he ever walk?”
The doctors reassured her. “Don’t worry. With proper treatment and care, your child can be completely cured.”
Those words became her hope.
Little Tanesh began his journey — a series of casts, frequent hospital visits, and endless prayers. Radhika stood by him every step of the way, her heart breaking a little each time but her faith growing stronger. When he was finally referred to us for his clubfoot brace, we saw that the cure for just a few steps away. Brace after brace, adjustment after adjustment — and then, one day, the doctor smiled and said the words Radhika had been longing to hear:
“Your son is perfectly fine.”
Today, Tanesh is ready to go to school, walking, running, and laughing just like any other child. What once felt unbelievable has become a beautiful reality.
For Radhika it’s a moment of pride and joy.For us at sukriti it’s a moment filled with gratitude
Gratitude to the doctors, gratitude to our team who followed up with Radhika for brace compliance and most of all, to you the donor whose support made this miracle possible.
In the last quarter we have reached out 195 children with different type of mobility aids.
