Meet Naziona, a woman from Zambia who was trained to sell solar products as part of a program to empower women and break the cycle of poverty. With the support of Kukula Solar, Naziona joined a group of women who received training on solar technology, business skills, and marketing strategies.
Together, they learned how to sell solar-powered products, such as lanterns, home systems, and cold chain solutions, to rural communities. With her newfound knowledge and skills, Naziona launched a solar-powered cold chain business, selling fresh food and drinks to rural schools and communities.
Naziona's business has not only improved her own life but also those of her customers. She's provided healthy food options to schools, boosting children's nutrition and energy levels. Her success has inspired other women to follow in her footsteps, creating a ripple effect of empowerment and economic growth.
The training with other women was a game-changer for Naziona. "We supported each other, shared ideas, and learned from our experiences," she says. "It gave me the confidence to start my own business and make a difference in my community."
