Helping Scavengers Children & Mum in Bali

This year, 2025, has been a year of growth and renewed hope at the Suwung Community Center. Every week, we see how education and care can make a real difference in the lives of children and mothers from the scavenger community. Their commitment to learning, even in the face of daily challenges, continues to inspire us all.

Our mission has always been to create opportunities for families to break the cycle of poverty through education and empowerment. The children are making great progress in school, becoming more confident and motivated to dream about their future. The mothers, too, are learning valuable skills and building stronger foundations for their families. Together, they remind us that change begins when someone believes in you and your support makes that belief possible.

Currently, our center welcomes an average of 55- 60 children every week, supported by 3 dedicated staff members who work tirelessly to teach, mentor, and guide both children and mothers. Through these programs, we aim to nurture not only education but also dignity, purpose, and hope within the community.

As we look ahead, we are filled with gratitude and excitement for what’s to come. With your continued support, we believe we can keep empowering families, transforming lives, and building a brighter future for Bali and Indonesia.
