Thank you for educating remote rural girls

By Dr. Vincent Paul | Director

Respected Donor,

We really don’t know how to express our gratitude enough about your donations against remote rural girls education activities.

The right to education denied to girl’s & women in rural areas still exists in India. “by a girl, by a young woman, or even by an aged one, nothing must be done independently’. There are many people who oppose girls’ education and job. They say that the proper sphere of girls is the home. So, they argue that the money spent on girl’s education and job skills is a waste.

Most parents are agricultural labors, daily wage workers, they are unable afford to educate their children, especially girl children. Their income is not sufficient to feed their family. They need support from outside to educate.

Even after CHHASE regular awareness programs, Girls continued education after grade 8th, 10th and 12th is a challenge in targeted areas of CHHASE. Distance to education facility creates hurdles for girls. The means of transportation are either uncertain or parents are concerned about safety of girls. Therefore, most of girl’s dropout of schools after grade 8th. Those who are able to study till grade 12th, dropout thereafter. College education is expensive coupled with earlier stated constraints. Parents have also conservative mindset.

CHHASE continuously mobilized the girls and motivated parents to continue their education till they complete graduation at college. For this, transport facilities from village to school/college have been arranged. Parents are at peace that the girls have a safe journey to school/college. For college education, there are expenses involved for fees, books, stationery. CHHASE has arranged to pay the fees Etc. This helps girls continuing their education.

We take this opportunity to give a big THANK YOU for the 11 recurring donors who are already donating for this program!

We once again thank you for all you have done for this project, and looking forward for your continued support!

Respected donors, we welcome your valuable suggestions and feedback for this noble work. Please do provide your suggestions in the comment box to be more successful.

Thanks & Best Regards.
