3rd Programm for Therapeutic Riding for Children
By Veronika Sramkova, project assistant | Project
We are still moving forward with the help of your support. We are proud to announce that we are preparing to open the application procedure for the next 3rd Free Program for Therapeutic Riding for Children with Disabilities.
Due to a number of circumstances we had to undertake the previous Program only relying on your support from fellows around the world and our personal contribution. What is important is that the children and their families are still coming to the ranch and enjoy the benefits of the rehabilitation.
We cant wait together with the children to start the next riding programme.

PQHFB License
Our common efforts finally have been rewarded. Paint and Quarter Horse Foundation Bulgaria recently became the first organization with a license for this social service in Bulgaria. The license includes therapy with animals and therapeutic riding for children and young people with disabilities. Thanks to the qualifications of the instructors and the programs the foundation organizes the state authorities considered that the social service we provide deserves to be awarded. This is a great recognition of our efforts to provide free equine-assisted therapy in Bulgaria. It is also one step further towards regulating this type of rehabilitation in the country.
We successfully opened the next 3 month Program for another seven children with special needs. They will be attending weekly therapeutic riding sessions for free at our facilities. We are still pursuing our ultimate goal to build a Horse Therapy Centre where children with disabilities and their families will be able to come for free, receive regular therapy and retreat.
On 18th of July from 09:00 ET to 23:59 ET, GlobalGiving is matching donations over $100 up to $1000. The higher the donation the higher the match. Let’s keep growing our family and supporters by donating and sharing to everyone in our network.

We are glad to share that the certification of our two instructors for therapeutic riding – Mina and Veronika is successfully moving forward with your support!
After all examinations have been passed by the instructors they are at the final stage of the certification procedure. Their task will be to demonstrate their riding skills and therapeutic riding experience. That shall be videotaped and send for evaluation to the Committee of the Professional Association for Therapeutic Riding in accordance with the standards of PATH Intr. .
Meanwhile, with the help of you and all other friends of the organization we were able to successfully complete our first 3 month program for therapeutic riding for children with disabilities. As our community and supporters are growing it will be possible to start another program in the beginning of May 2019. We are opening the second program for another 7 children with special needs who will attend weekly therapeutic sessions for free at our facilities.
Unfortunately, the children and their parents are still only coming for a few hours. PQHFB is working hard to offer suitable environment for them. For that we are regularly adapting our facilities. But the ultimate goal remains to have a professional therapeutic riding arena and space where the families could stay longer. Build a Horse Therapy Center for Disabled Children
This week, Apr 8th – Arp 12th, GlobalGiving is matching donations up to $50 at 60%. Let’s keep growing our family and supporters by sharing to everyone in our network.
