A Spoonful of Rice... Restored the Taste of Life to Orphaned Raed Under Gaza's Siege

By HASAN SADIK | Project leader

Dear Generous Donor,

Amidst the overwhelming pain and suffering endured by the people of Gaza, the stories of orphaned children stand as a bleeding wound in the conscience of humanity. Raed is one of those children — he lost his father during the latest brutal assault on the Gaza Strip and now lives with his mother and aunt in Al-Karama Camp in northern Gaza.

In these harsh conditions, under a suffocating siege that has made food almost unattainable, we were able — thanks to your generous support — to provide Raed and his family with a hot meal of rice, the only food currently available in Gaza due to the severe shortage of supplies.

When Raed tasted that simple meal, his face lit up with joy, as if he had received a royal feast. The rice was not merely food; it was a symbol of life, a message that there are still hearts reaching out with compassion amid the darkness.

On behalf of Raed, his mother, and his aunt, we extend our deepest thanks and sincere gratitude to you. Your generosity has brought warmth back to hearts worn down by the siege and gave a moment of joy to an orphaned child amidst the rubble of pain.

May God reward you abundantly and make every bite you provided a light and a blessing for you in this life and the next.
