Challenge

The Gaza Strip is facing a deepening humanitarian crisis marked by severe food insecurity and famine due to ongoing conflict and displacement. Hunger affects both children and adults, with many families forced to go without food for extended periods. Recent assessments by partner organizations within the United Nations Nutrition Cluster show a worrying increase in acute malnutrition among children, highlighting the urgent need for emergency food assistance, especially during Ramadan 2026.

Solution

Through this Ramadan Iftar project, we aim to provide hot Iftar meals to approximately 2,000 displaced families in Gaza. Meals will be freshly prepared using available and nutritious ingredients such as rice, vegetables, and meat. By delivering humanitarian food aid at sunset during Ramadan, this project helps reduce hunger, restore dignity, and send a message of compassion, solidarity, and shared humanity to families living through extreme hardship.

Long-Term Impact

Addressing hunger and malnutrition in Gaza is essential to protecting lives and supporting long-term resilience. With continued support, this project will help provide balanced meals to around 2,000 vulnerable people, including children, during Ramadan 2026. Beyond immediate hunger relief, the initiative contributes to better health outcomes, emotional well-being, and hope, while strengthening ongoing humanitarian aid efforts for displaced and war-affected families in Gaza.
