Thank you for your generous donation to the Hurricane Milton Relief Fund. Your contributions continue to make a difference, helping community-led nonprofits connect impacted communities to housing, food and health services.

Since you have donated, the Hurricane Milton Relief Fund supported 8 grants to high-impact and community-led nonprofit organizations at the forefront of this crisis.

Here is what one local, grant recipient wanted you to know about the impact of your donation:

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the GlobalGiving community. This funding is making a tangible difference, allowing us to support many individuals and families who are suffering in silence.Your generosity empowers us to provide critical aid during these challenging times.

Thank you again for your unwavering commitment to making a difference. We deeply appreciate your partnership and support.”

-Unity In Disasters

Here is a short description of some of the critical work you’ve supported:

  • Farm Share is Florida’s largest grassroots food bank that partners with more than 2,000 food pantries, churches, schools, and other local nonprofits in all of Florida’s 67 counties. Farm Share provided a steady stream of support to 30 counties that were impacted by Milton, ensuring that individuals and families gained access to nutritious food as they take navigate storm recovery.
  • Institute for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Management- is a Florida-based team of emergency management experts focused on ensuring that underserved communities in disaster-affected areas are represented in response and recovery. Your donation is specifically supporting their Mission Resilience initiative, which is a grassroots, coalition-building effort that promotes community preparedness to natural disasters in Florida. It’s a community-driven approach that elevates the knowledge, skills and expertise of community leaders and stakeholders through collective impact, network access, training, education, and coordination.
  • Tampa Bay Community Foundationsupports central and western Florida through a strong network of nonprofit partners. In times of disaster, they activate the Tampa Bay Rapid Response Fund—established in 2020 and matched dollar-for-dollar—to quickly raise critical funds. They also curate a nonprofit critical needs list, where local organizations request emergency support for urgent, unplanned expenses caused by crises like hurricanes. A donation to the Milton Relief Fund helps ensure these frontline organizations can continue delivering vital relief and recovery services to those affected.

Your support of the GlobalGiving Hurricane Milton Relief Fund powers community-led responses, and it means organizations like Unity in Disasters get the critical resources they need to help their community rebuild after disaster strikes. You can find a full list of nonprofits who have received a grant from the Hurricane Milton Relief Fund at the end of this report.

With gratitude,

Rylan + The GlobalGiving Team

About GlobalGiving’s Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.

We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.

They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
