As we look ahead, we face a critical window of time. The rainy season is approaching, and the current infrastructure at Ibb Zoo is not equipped to handle it. Without proper enclosures and weather-proof shelters, the animals are at risk of severe exposure to the cold and damp, which can lead to illness and extreme distress.

The Difference You Have Made

Because of your generosity, our team has been able to provide immediate, life-saving interventions:

• Nutritional Support: We have maintained a consistent supply of food for all residents, including lush grasses for the herbivores and essential grains for the horses.
• Medical Care: Our team successfully distributed vital vaccines and provided grooming and stable maintenance to ensure the animals' physical health.
• Capacity Building: We conducted specialized training for zoo staff to improve animal handling techniques and daily welfare standards.

The Urgent Challenge Ahead

While we have stabilized their nutrition, the physical environment remains the greatest threat. To transform the zoo into a safe sanctuary, we must address the following needs:

1. Infrastructure Rehabilitation: Building spacious, weather-resistant cages to protect animals from the upcoming rains.
2. Expanded Medical Access: Increasing our stock of medication to treat seasonal illnesses.
3. Sustainable Operations: Covering the administrative and logistical costs required to keep our team on the ground.
