Three months later, we’re happy to share even more progress from Escuela 703 in Chaco. Thanks to your continued generosity, the school’s new water tanks and filtration system are fully operational and providing clean, safe drinking water every day. The impact has been immediate—teachers report that attendance has improved and students are missing fewer days due to stomach illnesses. The sense of pride among the kids is incredible; they even painted colorful murals around the tanks to celebrate the arrival of fresh water.
With the remaining funds, we’ve been able to repair kitchen plumbing, add a new handwashing station, and begin training local volunteers to maintain the system so it remains sustainable long after our team leaves. These efforts are already helping the school community take ownership of the project and build lasting skills around hygiene and maintenance.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to start the next phase: installing a rainwater harvesting system and creating a small vegetable garden irrigated by the new tanks. This will not only promote sustainability but also provide nutritious food for the students. Every contribution continues to make a tangible difference for the children and teachers at Escuela 703. Thank you for helping us bring lasting change to this wonderful community!
