Children with disabilities in Pakistan are among the most excluded from education due to poverty, stigma, inaccessible schools, and lack of trained teachers. This project will provide inclusive education support to children with disabilities by enrolling them in schools, providing remedial education, assistive support, teacher training, and parent engagement ensuring no child is left behind.
In Pakistan, thousands of children with disabilities remain out of school or drop out early due to: Lack of accessible and inclusive schools Untrained teachers and absence of learning accommodations Poverty and inability of families to afford education Discrimination and social stigma Absence of early intervention and remedial support Children with intellectual, physical, hearing, and multiple disabilities are particularly affected, especially in low-income and rural communities.
The project will promote inclusive education by supporting children with disabilities to access, remain, and succeed in school through a community-based and rights-based approach. Key Interventions: Inclusive School Enrollment for children with disabilities Remedial & Special Education Support (reading, writing, numeracy) Teacher Training on Inclusive Education Assistive Learning Materials (visual aids, learning kits) Parent Counseling & Awareness Sessions
By the end of the project: 300 children with disabilities enrolled or retained in schools Improved literacy, numeracy, and social skills 50 teachers trained in inclusive education practices Increased parental awareness and engagement Improved school attitudes toward disability inclusion Long-term Impact: Children with disabilities become active learners, reduce dropout rates, and gain equal opportunities for future employment and social participation.
