Introduction
5 million Cambodians do not have access to clean water and basic hygiene practises and this has a huge effect on most aspects of life. Due to the expenses involved healthcare such as dental and medical care is typically reserved for the middle class. Access to clean water and sanitation is a struggle for a large portion of our population, however, with 77% of people in Cambodia living in rural areas, their struggles are increasingly more intense and difficult.
Report
In the long run, this project will boost the health of the communities and children, allowing them to learn efficiently, continue working without falling ill and also prevent communicable diseases as they will be aware of the importance of their hygiene practises! These workshops will be vital to the success of the hygiene kits as most of these children are unaware of how to begin brushing their teeth and washing their hands.
