This update comes to you on Christmas Eve. Last night, a large group of our children, staff, and friends went out into the local area singing carols for nearly four hours. They came home exhausted – but still buzzing with excitement – just before midnight.
Today we’ve just finished our Christmas Eve carols service, shared a delicious dinner with around 100 friends and loved ones, and now the children are doing what they do best – making the most of the moment. Some are gathered around a big bonfire outside, while others are keeping warm by dancing the night away to Bollywood tunes on the DJ dancefloor we’ve set up. Inside, the presents are all wrapped and waiting under the tree, and the kids are bursting with excitement to open them tomorrow morning. We’ll all be up until midnight to welcome in Christmas – a tradition we hold very dear.
To everyone who took part in our Annual Christmas Fundraiser: thank you. Your generosity has helped make this Christmas truly special for our children and for the wider Mission family. Wherever you are in the world, we hope you are surrounded by people you love – and kept warm by their love, a fire, a dancefloor, or (if you’re especially fortunate) all three.
Merry Christmas to all!
