We wanted to share a quick update straight from the heart of our community here in Australia.
As Indigenous First Nations people, we know the struggles our young ones face every day—between keeping their culture alive and dealing with tough realities like brushes with the law. Life here isn’t always easy, especially when there aren’t many safe places for young people to just hang out and be themselves.
Thanks to your kindness, we’ve got two awesome shaded meeting spots where youth groups can come together, connect with new community police, and just feel safe and supported. The water fountains nearby aren’t just for drinking—they bring folks together, and in this hot climate, that makes a big difference.
But things have been a bit quiet lately when it comes to donations, and with everything going on in the world, that’s understandable. So lately, we’ve been focused on keeping those two spots in great shape so they keep serving our young people well.
We’ve got big plans for two more meeting places—because we know how much they matter—but to make that happen, we really need help. The good news? GlobalGiving’s Bonus Day is coming up on July 17! On that day, donations get a 30% boost, meaning your support goes even further.
If you can chip in on Bonus Day, or help spread the word with your friends and family, you’ll be helping our youth stay safe, connected, and hopeful.
Thanks so much for being part of this with us.
