Turn indigenous women into women entrepreneurs

During this period, indigenous women from rural communities continued strengthening their path toward economic autonomy through training and close technical support. The project focuses on addressing women’s limited access to income generation and decision-making by reinforcing their skills, confidence, and collective organization as a foundation for sustainable livelihoods.

Women advanced in improving the quality of their products and in strengthening group-based work, which allows them to produce and sell collectively. This organizational approach increases their ability to access markets, negotiate better conditions, and build more stable income-generating activities. Capacity building during this phase emphasized organization, basic management skills, and participation in productive and commercial processes.

These economic advances are already having a positive impact at the household level. As women begin to generate income, they gain greater participation in family decisions and prioritize spending on food, education, and overall well-being. With continued support, they are not only improving their economic situation, but also transforming their role within their families and communities.
