Calling on salesforce female leaders and ohana to celebrate International Women's Day by making a founding contribution to the St Martins Moms Community Center for Empowerment (CoE). Join us in raising $50,000 to finish building a planned safe space on school's grounds-- a beacon of empowerment and collaboration for the Moms of St Martins students in the Kibagare settlement of Nairobi Kenya. Salesforce employees have been generously supporting students at St. Martins for nearly two decades.
The St. Martin's Moms confront massive daily hardships within the Kibagare Slum's confines. Now organized in 18 cooperative groups, hundreds of motivated moms (and some dads) meet on clay floors to collaborate, seek help and share resources and ideas. A secure and resourceful space for parents to gather and grow remains a critical unmet need, hindering the families journeys towards self-reliance and community upliftment.
We invite Salesforce Ohana women, symbolizing strength, compassion, and empowerment, to be pioneers of this transformative project. Your support will bring to life the approved blueprints-- created by an alumni and beneficiary of the sponsorship program. Located behind the school's dining hall, this center will provide tools and training for sustainable growth, including electricity, sewing machines, computers, and other technology, benefiting this community living inchallenging conditions.
The moms groups-- collaborating since 2017 currently meet on clay floors in unsafe places with few resources . Your contribution will magnify the impact beyond the walls of the center, inspiring long-term female empowerment and entrepreneurship that uplifts the entire slum community. Salesforce volunteers can enrich the center with workforce training, health, wellbeing, and tech empowerment. A part of your donation may qualify for matching by Salesforce's employee giving program.
