Digital Skills have become a conernerstone of our project at Wavecrest College for Hospitality, Nigeria to make sure the students are well prepared for the modern day work-place. We're pleased to share her Monica's story. Thank you for making this possible!
"Through this programme, I have learned how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. I also gained skills in designing function cards and creating flyers. This training has given me the opportunity to keep pace with rapidly advancing technology, and I can now use a computer confidently.
At first, not having a laptop was a major challenge. In the most amazing and unexpected way, we now have laptops at school, and this has made a huge difference for me.
I have already used these skills in real life. When I was asked to create a costing sheet for our class Food Fair, my classmate and I used Excel. With tools like AutoSum, we completed the task quickly without long manual calculations.
I sincerely appreciate the people who funded this project. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of it and for granting me a scholarship. Your support has truly made a difference in my life."
