The Pro Team of Karachi United participated in the National Challenge Cup tournament that took place in Lahore. The tournament started on 28th November and ended on 20th December. Karachi United qualified for the Round of 16 after winning matches Huma FC and NBP in the group stages but then lost to WAPDA in the Round of 16 stage The star players for KU were Anees Fakir and Shahnawaz. Karachi United is offering Coaches Development Program free of cost. Karachi United professional coaches take online classes twice a week. A total of 12 coaches participated and cleared level 1 during this period.

In order to improve the quality of football coaching, Karachi United launched CDP (Coaches Development Program) for community centers coaches. Atotal of 40 participants have undergone the course provided during this period. The course involved 8 online classes and 3 practical. Certification issued to participants after completion of the course. B Division PFF League was to resume on 10th September while Pro Team Preparations and training resumed on 10th August. PFF Informed all teams that league will be delayed indefinitely due to Covid-19 but encouraged all teams to continue training. Karachi United suspended all the activities due to Covid-19 since March. The activities will be resumed once the situation is under control.

Quarterly Report from February to April

Standard Chartered Bank provided the opportunity to 12 Karachi United coaches to attend “Train the Trainer Workshop” held in Dubai from 20th to 24th February. 2 UEFA A Licensed Coaches from Liverpool FC International Academy conducted the program in which they shared different coaching techniques and methods. Pakistan Football Federation organized a football match between Karachi United professional Team and SGP – Sindh Government Press on the 14th of March. . After competitive game, Karachi United won the match by 1-0 score. Karachi United kicked off 2nd inclusive football league during this period in which Karachi United Academy also participated. The aim of this league is to promote sports among underprivileged children as well as young students of Madrasah (religious institutions). Group matches of inclusive football league II take place on every Thursday and Friday at Karachi United Football turf. Karachi United is providing transportation facilities to all teams and also providing light refreshment at the end of each match.
