Building Resilience Together!

By Maria Jose Orellana | Project Leader

Dear Friend,

We send you our warmest greetings from Ladrillo Verde – Supporting Rural Families, a project of Hearts of Gold Foundation, with special appreciation for the continued collaboration we have built with the community of Quingeo.

First and foremost, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for your invaluable support. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to work closely with the community, listen to their needs, and walk alongside families facing vulnerability with respect, commitment, and care.

Actions and Achievements

Through this close, community-based work, and with your support, we were able to carry out several meaningful actions to close out 2025, including:

  • The distribution of clothing for children, youth, and adults, providing warmth, dignity, and relief to many families.

  • The delivery of medicines to support the local community health center, helping address common illnesses and urgent medical needs.

  • The sharing of toys and candy bags with children, creating moments of joy, comfort, and hope.

In parallel, we continued to strengthen community resilience through:

  • Rehabilitation of community plots, using natural fertilizers and reforesting eroded areas.

  • Emotional and educational support activities for children and young people, fostering well-being and emotional recovery.

Each of these actions reflects the trust built with the community of Quingeo and the power of collective effort made possible through your solidarity.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, we are excited to share that we are actively developing multiple projects in close coordination with the community of Quingeo, with a strong focus on:

  • Caring for water sources and increasing access to safe water for more families and community members.

  • Strengthening long-term food security and sustainable livelihoods.

  • Continuing to support children and youth through education, health, and emotional well-being initiatives.

We are currently in ongoing dialogue with the community to ensure that our actions respond effectively, respectfully, andsustainably to their most pressing needs. Many of these new opportunities and projects will be shared with you very soon.

The road ahead is long, but together we are building something meaningful. By supporting Ladrillo Verde, you are helping rural families rebuild, strengthen their resilience, and create a future rooted in dignity, sustainability, and hope.

Thank you for continuing to walk with us.

Together, we are stronger.

With deep gratitude,
