Equipping Moms of Boys in the Digital Economy

By Ola Akinwe | Project Leader

Dear Supporters, Partners & Donors,

LARAS Mothers is an initiative dedicated to empowering mothers of boys by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to thrive in the digital economy. This report outlines our activities, achievements, and upcoming plans for the second quarter of 2025.

Quarterly Achievements

In this quarter, LARAS Mothers has made significant strides in supporting our community:

  • Counseling and Support: We provided counseling and support to nine mothers, offering education and inspiration to help them guide their sons effectively in the digital economy. Our sessions focused on fostering resilience, responsibility, and adaptability in their boys.

  • Individualized Support: We assisted an additional mother facing challenges in maintaining her son’s commitment to responsibilities. Through tailored guidance, we helped her develop strategies to engage with her son constructively, including casual visits during his tasks to encourage accountability while maintaining a supportive presence.

Program Impact

Our efforts have empowered mothers to better understand the digital economy and its opportunities, enabling them to support their sons in navigating this dynamic landscape. By fostering open communication and practical strategies, we are helping build stronger family units equipped for success in a technology-driven world.

Upcoming Initiatives

  • Annual Virtual Summit (October 2025): We are actively preparing for our flagship event, the LARAS Mothers Virtual Summit, scheduled for October 2025. This summit will bring together mothers, educators, and industry experts to share insights, strategies, and success stories on empowering boys in the digital economy. The event will feature workshops, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities to further our mission.

LARAS Mothers remains committed to uplifting mothers and their sons through education, support, and community-building. We are grateful for the continued support of our donors, which enables us to make a meaningful impact.

We look forward to the upcoming summit and the opportunity to expand our reach in the coming quarters.

Thank you!
