Hello friends
We wanted to share a wonderful update from our Business Skills Centre and show you the real impact your support is making in our community
Meet Gladice. She left school before turning fifteen and had been unemployed for years. Her husband earns just two hundred dollars a month, and with three children still studying, life has been a challenge. When she heard about our community skills centre, she joined our sewing program
One year after graduation, Gladice is still at the centre every day after class, using the machines to make traditional African aprons. She sells them to domestic workers in the community and to a few local businesses. A small grant of one hundred dollars allowed her to buy the materials she needed to get started. Now she dreams of growing her business even more. With another grant of six hundred dollars for a sewing machine, she could work more efficiently and increase her income
Every student who graduates from our centre has the opportunity to join our business management program, where we teach pricing, costing, marketing and connect them with professional volunteers who guide them as they launch their own businesses. We are always looking for more professional volunteers to join this journey and make a difference
Your support helps people like Gladice turn their skills into sustainable income, provide for their families and build a brighter future. Thank you for being part of this story
