Hello
When we launched our project to build a community learning center to benefit the rural community of San Miguel Viejo, it was a community of 500 inhabitants. By 2020 the population rose to 833.
All these years we have conducted our classes and workshops in a borrowed space and in the lot on which we plan to build.
We are now serving over 100 children a week (ages 3 - 16) along with adult classes. We need the building and now we have a blueprint!
Once built we can offer a safe local place for learning outside formal education. A place for social support and public information which was so vital during the pandemic.
We work to promote independence in learning. Introducing empowerment we hope to not just give back to the community but help create more opportunities for the children.
Attached are pictures of a recent celebration on our lot. (you can see we need a building) and the blueprint plan for that building.
Thank you for your continued support and have a safe and healthy New Year!
Best Regards
Betty Lopez.
