Delay in detecting new patients, persisting discrimination against people affected by leprosy, and limited impact on the transmission of leprosy remain to be tackled. The Global Leprosy Strategy 2016-2020 aims at accelerating action towards a leprosy-free world. Many still suffer from leprosy-related problems and their consequences. Disability due to leprosy is a cause of great concern, as it brings innumerable physical, socio-economic, and psychological suffering to patients and their families
We give awareness to women and children, and the public in our service area through volunteers. Through cause and spread, prevention and treatment, stigmas and prejudices, prevention of impairments and disabilities, and rehabilitation in our service area. Each project village will be divided into 4 clusters of about 50 to 60 houses, each containing about 300 to 400 people. A day before the organization of the detection camp, a street education program will be organized using street theater group
The knowledge level will be increased to the people about leprosy. They will have achieved the skills to identify and refer persons with early signs and symptoms to appropriate healthcare institutions. Women and children are protected from leprosy and know leprosy is a curable disease.
