Help life-saving to displaced People in Ethiopia

Every day, thousands of children in conflict-affected areas of Ethiopia face the devastating reality of hunger, roaming with empty stomachs and grappling with the impact of malnutrition on their health. In the Amhara region, the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate rapidly, leaving vulnerable families without access to basic necessities. However, thanks to the unwavering support of compassionate individuals, GlobalGiving, and corporate partners, MHO has been able to respond to critical and urgent needs, providing life-saving assistance and restoring hope to those affected by the ongoing crisis.

 In this reporting period under the project tilted Help life-saving to displaced People in Ethiopia, MHO reached 60 households, providing emergency food assistance, nutrition support, and essential supplies. These efforts directly addressed the immediate needs of displaced families outside of MHO’s rehabilitation center while also supporting those sheltered within the center. Key accomplishments include:

• Food and Nutrition Support: Life-saving food and nutritional rations were distributed to children and women to combat hunger and malnutrition.
• Essential Supplies Distribution: Families received vital supplies, including:
• Medical and hygiene kits.
• Reproductive health kits.
• Dignity kits for women and girls.
• Water and sanitation supplies.

This critical support not only saved lives but also contributed significantly to the physical and mental well-being of crisis-affected individuals.
