There’s something wonderful growing at the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center in Nakuru — and we’re not just talking about our children’s bright futures! The construction of the Mad Pea Pod Day Care Center is nearly complete, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Thanks to generous donations from multiple supporters — with especially heartfelt thanks to the amazing Mad Peas team in Second Life and a deeply committed family from Germany — this beautiful new building is just a few final touches away from opening its doors to 30 of our tiniest learners.
Why the Mad Pea Pod, you ask? It’s a playful tribute to our primary donors, the Podschlap family and Mad Peas, and the little ones who will soon fill the rooms with laughter, curiosity, and giggles — our precious “peas in the pod”!
Behind the cuteness lies something profoundly important. These 30 children will take their first steps into education in a bright, welcoming, and loving space — one that reflects the same values and high standards the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center has come to be known for. Here, it’s not just about care — it’s about nurturing potential, fostering self-worth, and planting the seeds of lifelong learning.
The Mad Pea Pod Day Care Center isn’t just a building. It’s a promise — a promise of safe play, joyful learning, and a warm beginning to a better future. We can’t wait to see the little ones arrive, settle in, and start their journey with smiles on their faces and dreams in their hearts.
From the bottom of our hearts — asante sana - thank you to everyone who made this possible. Let’s keep planting the seeds of change, together!
