The midwives at the Bumi Sehat Lombok clinic have guided hundreds of babies safely into the world. Now new government rules require an extra year of study to stay licensed. This project helps three dedicated midwives complete their training so they can keep serving mothers and babies in Lombok-sharing their skills, mentoring others, and ensuring gentle, loving care continues for years to come.
Our midwives are the heart of Bumi Sehat Lombok. They've delivered hundreds of babies with skill and love, yet new national rules now require every midwife to complete a fourth year of study to stay certified. Without this training, even our most experienced caregivers could lose their licenses and be forced to stop serving mothers and babies who depend on them every day.
This project will fund the final year of schooling for three dedicated Lombok midwives, allowing them to meet new government standards without sacrificing Bumi Sehat Lombok's other vital programs. With donor support, they can stay in the classroom and the birthing room-continuing to offer safe, loving care while gaining new skills to guide and mentor the next generation of midwives.
When our midwives keep learning, whole communities thrive. These women will return with advanced skills, renewed confidence, and official certification-ready to train young midwives, strengthen maternal care across Lombok, and ensure every mother and baby continues to receive gentle, respectful birth care for years to come.
