Love, food, education for 100 children in Bogota

Dear friends:

In this brief report we highlight the main actions we have carried out at the beginning of 2025. As always, we thank you for your contributions because these are the ones that allow us to maintain our action over time and to build possibilities of life and dignity for the community.

There is a very important process that we have been developing for at least two years with the community and the human team of the organization. This is the Strategic Plan 2024 to 2028, which we have already had the opportunity to talk about in previous reports. Well: this exercise has allowed us to broaden our partnerships with new actors; to impact a greater number of people in the community; and also to develop new methodologies, according to the needs of different populations. 

In February we began to develop the planning of our actions for this year and the first half of 2026. For this purpose, we went to a municipality near Bogota, to devote all our energy to this important action. Strategies were deployed for work in all areas: rights, social cohesion, deliberative democracy and institutional strengthening.

We also started a class with a group of 25 young people in the kitchen. They will be certified in short courses on July 25. They learned many technical skills as well as personal and work skills. In art and culture we have opened the stage for the training of boys and girls in the artistic-sports strategy around the “Musical Theater”. Those who participate develop physical and emotional self-knowledge and participate in the final show that will take place in December 2025.

On the other hand, and in alliance with the Kennedy Public University and the Javeriana University, we were able to carry out several training spaces around mental health through the work and development of actions in the organization's vegetable garden. Children, young people and adults participated there, recognizing their emotions and learning how to deal with them better.

A very important challenge in this period for the organization is to consolidate the process of its new corporate name. After an intense semester of work, we will be able to launch the new name at the end of July and we will continue with the deployment of the positioning campaign with our allies inside and outside the country. In this new moment we would like to count on you and know that in many ways you are still interested in supporting the actions we carry out for the welfare of the communities in the south of Bogota.
