We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the Mayor Potencial School Supplies project this year. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $1,500, all of which is being used directly to support children as they began or continued their education in 2025.
Your donations have allowed us to prioritize what the community identified as the most immediate needs: school supplies, uniforms, and shoes for new and returning students. With your support, we have secured school shirts, commissioned locally made skirts (creating employment within the community), and are in the process of purchasing uniform pants for students. We are also allocating funds to essential school supplies for children joining the school for the first time, ensuring they arrive prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
While tablets for teachers were initially part of our vision, community feedback made it clear that meeting students’ basic needs first would have the greatest impact this year. We are now exploring the possibility of donated tablets so that technology support for teachers can still become a reality without diverting funds from student essentials.
As we look ahead, continued support will allow us to expand this work even further — reaching more children, improving classroom resources, and strengthening the school community as a whole. If you’re able to give again or help spread the word, your contribution will directly shape what we can do in 2026 and beyond.
Thank you for believing in this project and, most importantly, in the potential of every child we serve.
