Health Care Services To The Rohingya Refugees

I am pleased to share an update on the progress made in recent months through the health facilities we operate inside the Rohingya Refugee Camps. These facilities continue to deliver much-needed, lifesaving healthcare services to some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

As highlighted in earlier reports, the staff at the HOPE Field Hospital for Women have undergone extensive training in infection control and emergency management. Equipped with the proper tools and protective measures, they are working diligently to safeguard both patients and themselves. Thanks to these efforts, we have not witnessed a major outbreak of communicable diseases in the area—an outcome that speaks to the dedication of our team and the effectiveness of preventive action.

Beyond clinical care, our outreach includes the distribution of masks, water purification tablets, soap, prenatal vitamins, and nutrient-rich superfoods for pregnant women. These interventions are critical in protecting our high-risk patient population: pregnant women, newborns, fistula survivors, and many others managing chronic conditions.

We firmly believe that organizations like HOPE Foundation—deeply rooted in local communities and with a long-standing presence in southern Bangladesh—are uniquely positioned to provide both immediate relief and long-term support in the face of outbreaks and crises. Our consistent, high-quality medical services continue to make a measurable difference in the lives of those we serve.

In this report, I will take the chance, once again, to inform you about the progress we did during the last months working in the health facilities we run inside the Rohingya Refugee Camps to provide much-needed, lifesaving, healthcare services. 

As you might know, from previous reports, the Hope Field Hospital for Women staff was diligently trained in infection control & emergency management. They have been provided with the tools they need to safely work and protect the patients. All the hard work is paying off as we don't see a major outbreak fron any communicable disease in the area. We hope this continues.

At the Field Hospital catchment area, Hope is distributing masks, water purification tablets, soaps, prenatal vitamins, and superfoods for pregnant women.

This is critical as the target population served is high risk: pregnant women, newborns, and fistula survivors. Not to mention many patients who are served possess underlying health conditions. 

As we believe, organizations like Hope Foundation, which are already deeply rooted in local communities, are in the best position to provide immediate and long-term support for survivors of outbreaks and other crises. Our long-term work in southern Bangladesh has positioned us as a leader in providing consistent, high-quality medical care to those in need.
