Agar is an 18 year old man who spent his whole life being abondoned, abused and sold into the sex trade. He came into the care of Hand to Hand approximately 1 year ago. He has had no education, no medical care or dental care in his life. In addition to this, he has no documentation and therefore no access to government assistance, health care or job opportunities. His life has been transformed since coming to Hand to Hand where he is now in the adult education program and earns a living taking care of the chickens at the Hand to Hand housing estate.
A few months ago he went to his first dental appointment and he needs extensive treatment. This includes the removal of 6 teeth which are severely decayed and 8 teeth that need fillings. Thank you for your support which means that he can have access to this essential dental care.
In July we completed the renovation of the Hand to Hand preschool. We took this opportunity to improve our 'sick bay' area for children who feel unwell at preschool. We now have a fully stocked medical cabinet and a nice place to rest. We will continue to improve this area with screeens and fans.
