In 2026, we will undertake the Surgical Area Modernization Project at Sanatorio Mater Dei, aimed at strengthening the efficiency, safety, and quality of surgical procedures.
The efficiency and effectiveness of surgical interventions have a direct impact on patients’ recovery times, the length of hospital stays, and healthcare-related costs. In this context, the incorporation of state-of-the-art medical technology is a key factor in optimizing both clinical and operational outcomes.
Over the past ten years, the Sanatorium has experienced sustained growth in its surgical activity, highlighting the need to adapt and upgrade the existing infrastructure and available equipment.
In order to support this growth and continue the innovation process, a total investment of US$ 3,800,000 is planned for the comprehensive modernization of the operating rooms. This investment includes the acquisition and upgrading of strategic equipment such as laparoscopic towers, anesthesia workstations, surgical lights, operating tables, a Pentero microscope, multiparameter monitors, and a C-arm, as well as the necessary infrastructure works to ensure proper implementation.
This project will enable Sanatorio Mater Dei to consolidate its position as a national reference center for surgical care, ensuring cutting-edge technological standards (“state of the art”), enhanced patient safety, and improved working conditions for medical teams.
