Summary

In 2026, we will undertake the Surgical Area Modernization Project at Sanatorio Mater Dei, aimed at strengthening the efficiency, safety, and quality of surgical procedures. Over the past ten years, the Sanatorium has experienced sustained growth in its surgical activity, highlighting the need to adapt and upgrade the existing infrastructure and available equipment. This project will enable Sanatorio Mater Dei to consolidate its position as a national reference center for surgical care.

Challenge

The economic crisis in Argentina and the budgetary difficulties to which the health institutions in our country are subjected, due to the gap between the increasing costs and the income fixed by the benefits, pose serious problems for the purchase of equipment that guarantees a health service according to the highest international standards. Also, there are difficulties in importing technology and medical supplies, as a result of the devaluation to which the Argentine peso has been subjected.

Solution

Like most of the non-profit health institutions of excellence in the world, it is essential to have the support of donors to guarantee a service according to the highest international standards. The MDS has an important track record in convening the community to support its development and, as a result, has continuously undertaken important growth works. We expand our request for support to people and companies abroad to continue growing and providing the health service that our community needs

Long-Term Impact

The acquisition of detailed equipment will allow to attend a greater number of patients and provide the best possible medical care. Your contributions allow us to offer the most advanced medicine to our patients. At the Mater Dei Sanatorium we know that hugging, restraint and medical accompaniment help people to recover. For this reason, we work in an integral way, understanding that the only possible medicine is that which is practiced with humanism.
