Now, at the end of its fourth year, Colectivo Care—founded by Livity Rising, Integrative Healers Action Network, and Acupuncturists Without Borders—continues our deep commitment to providing free, high-quality integrative healthcare to the farmworker community. Over the past year, our work has continued in the face of increasingly complex immigration policies that directly impact farmworkers and their families. These shifting policies have required us to adjust how and where we hold clinics to ensure that our services remain safe, accessible, and responsive to the changing needs of the community. 

Despite these challenges, our clinics continue because the Farmworker community needs this care. Farmworkers continue to experience limited access to healthcare, inadequate nutrition, poor living conditions, and minimal insurance coverage. At the same time, they are essential to our nation’s food supply—producing roughly one-third of all vegetables, nearly two-thirds of fruits and nuts, and California alone produces 90% of all strawberries grown in the United States.

This stark contrast between their contributions and the conditions they endure underscores why our work matters.

The need for dependable, community-based healthcare is growing. As immigration policies evolve and economic pressures increase, farmworker families are facing greater uncertainty and fewer resources.
