Regardless of challenges - Colectivo CARE shows up

By Christine Cronin | Executive Director

Thank you for continuing to stand with us as we support farmworkers and their families. Your generosity makes this work possible, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership.

We are currently in our second three-year grant cycle. Founded by Livity Rising, Integrative Healers Action Network, and Acupuncturists Without Borders, Colectivo CARE has continued to expand its services in response to the growing needs of the community. While we have faced challenges as a result of complex immigration policies and securing clinic locations, we continue to hold clinics and work with our partners to ensure farmworkers and their families receive the care they deserve.

These clinics are vital. Although farmworkers are essential to our food supply, they often face significant barriers to healthcare, inadequate housing, and limited access to insurance. Yet despite these challenges, farmworkers produce one-third of all vegetables, two-thirds of fruits and nuts, and 90% of U.S. strawberries grown in California. Their contributions are extraordinary, and supporting their health and well-being is both critical and deeply meaningful.

Colectivo CARE continues to show up—regardless of shifting immigration policies or clinic location challenges.  We remain flexible and responsive, adapting as needed to keep clinics safe, accessible, and welcoming for the families we serve.

We are honored to serve this remarkable community and deeply appreciate your continued support. Together, we are making a meaningful difference and building a healthier, more compassionate future for farmworker families.

Thank you for all you do!
