Mental health for deaf youth in Colombia

Dear friends and donors,

Thanks to your generous support, this year we have been able to accompany 6 teenagers and 20 deaf adults from Medellín’s lower-income communities (strata 1, 2, and 3), who face multiple challenges in their daily lives.

Throughout the year, we carried out 61 mental health care sessions focused on developing life skills, with a special emphasis on self-awareness and the management of family and personal conflicts. We are filled with hope to share that participants have shown punctuality, commitment, and consistency in every session—clear evidence of how meaningful this support is for them.

But this is only the beginning.
Our work will be expanded with group workshops on such vital topics as sexual education, prevention of psychoactive substance use, and healthy use of free time.

However, to continue and broaden this impact, we need your support. Every contribution allows us to offer more sessions, reach more deaf youth and adults, and keep strengthening their emotional well-being and life projects.
