Your donations continue to deliver life-saving food, water, medical care, and vital assistance to communities, particularly to Palestinians across Gaza.

Much has changed since we last wrote. The Israeli military and Hamas have approved a second ceasefire plan and the release of the hostages.  Thousands of Palestinians have begun returning to what little remains of their homes and neighborhoods. It is a moment of both heartbreak and fragile hope. Your generosity continues to matter deeply.

This month alone, your donations helped fund six new grants to trusted, community-led partners who are providing care, relief, and support on the ground. Here are a few of the vital efforts you have made possible:

  • AISHA Association for Women and Children Protection is delivering food, hygiene kits, essential items, and cash assistance to help families meet urgent needs. The organization is also providing mental health and psychological support to community members, including cancer patients, across its 29+ safe spaces. With aid still limited across Gaza and severe traumatic stress experienced by many, AISHA’s work is essential.
  • Dalia Association, a Palestinian-led, grassroots grantmaker, runs a Gaza Fund that provides small grants to villages, volunteer groups, and civil society groups inside Gaza who lead community projects based on identified needs. With humanitarian aid and access to Gaza remaining in question, locally-led initiatives and sharing power with communities continue to be essential.
  • Nour Charitable Society is providing emergency medical supplies to individuals and local clinics, as well as training volunteers and equipping them with basic emergency response skills. Their team is also offering rehabilitation sessions  – including physical, occupational, and speech therapy – for children with moderate to severe disabilities, offering educational support, and conducting family counseling to guide care at home. This is especially important as violence and attacks against Palestinians continue, which have a greater impact on persons with disabilities and children.

Your support of the GlobalGiving Middle East Crisis Relief Fund bolsters community-led responses like these. And, with a new ceasefire deal in place, there is an even greater need to continue supporting our partners who will be at the center of efforts to rebuild what has been destroyed and lost in these devastating two years. As one partner shared after receiving support:

“Your emergency grant comes at a pivotal time, enabling us to sustain our humanitarian response and begin preparing for the next phase, recovery and rebuilding, to help affected families regain safety, dignity, and hope.” —  Mariam,AISHA - Association for the Protection of Women and Children

Thank you for all your support thus far. Your solidarity in the days to come means the world. Like Mariam, we hope they bring safety, dignity, and hope to all.

In immense gratitude,

Kyra + the GlobalGiving Team

About GlobalGiving’s Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.

We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.

They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
