Mother's Day Milk

Between March and June 2025, Thrive delivered 14,274 glasses of milk to schoolchildren across our partner schools. In communities where families live on less than $2 a day and access to basic services is limited, this simple glass of milk carries outsized impact of nutrition, dignity, and opportunity.

Each delivery represents a mother’s hope. In Dhaka, one of those mothers is Jusna, whose daughter Ruwaida attends a Thrive partner school. Blind since birth, Jusna meets each day with courage and love. “My day starts with Ruwaida. I wake her up, wash her hands and face, and prepare her,” she says. Her routine is a quiet act of devotion that shines through the constraints of poverty and disability.

Thrive's support reaches families like Jusna's, making it possible for their children to grow, learn, and dream. For Jusna, every glass of milk offered to Ruwaida is relief from worry, a layer of strength, and a sign that her child matters.

This past Mother’s Day, generous donors joined our tribute campaign to celebrate mothers like Jusna. Their gifts honored love in action, nurturing the next generation in places often overlooked.

From November 2024 to February 2025, schoolchildren in Thrive partner schools received 18,252 glasses of milk—helping them grow stronger, stay healthier, and focus better in the classroom. This essential nutrition empowers children to learn and thrive, ensuring they have the energy they need to reach their full potential.
