3rd Anniversary – November 22, 2025
We celebrated the 3rd Anniversary of the Núcleo Fundación Wayuu Taya at our headquarters inside the Colegio Tepichi Talashi.
Students, teachers, and families assembled to mark three years of music, perseverance, and transformation. Over time, the Núcleo has become a safe and inspiring space where children express themselves through violin, clarinet, percussion, cello, and voice.
Three years represent countless rehearsals and growing confidence. This is only the beginning of a greater symphony ahead.
A Proud Achievement
Our cello and choral student, Ángel, stood out in the gala concert “Gladys Vera Perpetuum” presented by the Sinfónica de la Juventud Zuliana Rafael Urdaneta at ExpoZulia in November 2025.
His achievement demonstrates the transformative power of music and the dedication of our young artists.

Classes Resume – January 12, 2026
After the holiday break, classes resumed on Monday, January 12, 2026. Students returned ready to continue learning and improving their musical skills.
Music Heals International Program
The Music Heals International Program continued to strengthen during the final months of 2025.
In September, the incorporation of Banda Apuna temporarily increased enrollment, indicating the program’s visibility and continued community interest.
The cycle concluded in November with individual audio recordings, allowing the team to document each student’s technical progress and current level.
Now operating from a single location, the program has strengthened logistics, coordination, and instructional consistency. This structural stability has allowed for more focused teaching and a clearer path for each student’s musical development.
Classes for the 2026 cycle will begin on February 18, continuing this work of growth and opportunity through music.
This work is made possible through the dedication of our teachers and volunteers, and the continued collaboration of our partners, El Sistema, Giustra International Foundation, CORE Response, Acceso, and Music Heals International.
Their support ensures stable programming and consistent musical training opportunities for Wayuu children.
Thank you!
