By Felipe Velasco | Project Leader
Dear Donors & Supporters,
Thanks to the wonderful response during GivingTuesday, our microproject The Book of Lake Tota—an educational pillar of the Muyso School—has reached an exciting milestone: $2,064 raised out of a $4,000 goal, with 38 donations.
This achievement is more than a fundraising success. It confirms strong community support for the core mission of Muyso School: empowering rural youth as wetland and climate guardians. “The Book” will become one of the school’s most powerful learning tools—bringing the lake’s beauty, challenges, and wetland rights principles directly into classrooms, workshops and community spaces.
By strengthening this microproject, donors are directly boosting the long-term impact of the entire Muyso School initiative. Every contribution accelerates our vision of an in-nature learning hub where knowledge, ancestral wisdom, and youth action converge for Lake Tota’s future.
Thank you for helping us advance this crucial first step toward the full Muyso School vision.
With gratitude,
Felipe Velasco
Director at Fundación Montecito
