Helping Rural Xhosa children become literate!

Hi friends

We trust you are all staying well.

Spring has sprung and the Ncinci Ones are all blossoming and developing too.  Their attendance at school has been really good and the children are enjoying their days. 

A few of our children know all their sounds and are creating and reading phonetic words, and many of the children are working with the decimal system.

Our Directresses hosted a parent workshop recently on the importance of reading stories to young children, and how to read a story to a young child.  The mama's enjoyed going into little groups and reading a story to the others.

Our two Directresses have also attended two Wild Coast ECD CoP Workshops in recent months and have learnt a host of new things. They enjoy these Workshops, as they always learn new information and skills.
