Society for Environment Conservation and Social Welfare (SECSW) Rasuwa, a women-led organization is empowering women leaders and actively driving environmental conservation efforts among women in Uttar Gaya Rural Municipality.
With the support of Tewa grant, SECSW recently conducted a four-day leadership training in two phase in coordination with Uttargaya Rural Municipality for 67 women leaders from various sectors such as elected representatives, local community groups, user groups, cooperatives, member of the school management committees and socially active women from the communities. This training was organized aiming to equip them with the skills to localize the 16th periodic plan and play a crucial role in holistic development of women of Rasuwa. For this, the training covered key topics like Gender Equity and Social Justice, Communication skills, anchoring skill which enables them to conduct the program and submit the proposals to local government. The project expects these women:
SECSW plans a review meeting after conduction the training to encourage knowledge sharing among participants and establish a sound feedback mechanism to sustain the achievements.
