Introduce renewable power

By Maisie Mayne | Fundraising intern

The Problem: No Power, Big Problems

Imagine if the lights went out at your house for 11 hours every day! That's what it's like in many parts of Zimbabwe. The power system is old and unreliable, and it causes lots of problems:

Dark Homes: Kids can't do their homework or play when it's dark.
No Clean Water: Water pumps stop working, so people can't get clean water.
Closed Clinics: Medical clinics can't keep medicine cold or use important equipment.
School Struggles: Schools can't use computers or even have lights on, making it hard to learn.
Struggling Farms: Farms can't water their crops, so they can't grow enough food.
The Solution: Solar Power to the Rescue!

You want to use super-cool, new solar panels and inverters to bring power to people. Here's how:

Homes with Light: 50 families will get solar systems so their kids can have light to study and play.
Schools with Power: 10 schools will get solar systems to power water pumps and computers, so kids can learn better.
Farms with Food: 10 farms will get solar systems to run special watering systems called aquaponics, which will help them grow lots of fresh vegetables for the community.
Working with experts: You are working with Oxford university to ensure the best technology is used.
The Goal: A Brighter Future for Zimbabwe

By bringing solar power to homes, schools, and farms, you're helping people in Zimbabwe solve lots of problems:

Better Education: Kids will be able to learn better in school and at home.
More Food: Farms will be able to grow more food, so people won't go hungry.
Cleaner Water: Schools will have clean water for kids to drink.
Healthier Communities: Medical clinics will be able to provide better care.
Showcasing Solar: You will be showing other African countrys how amazing solar power is.
Why This Matters

This project is important because it shows how clean energy can make a big difference in people's lives. By giving people access to reliable power, you're helping them build a better future.

How You Can Help

They have a goal of £21,082 and they still need help to reach their goal. If you want to help, you can donate to their cause.

It's really exciting to see how technology can be used to help people and the planet!
