Hey everyone, Ty here!
You know me—I love a good mission. But there’s one challenge we face in rural Africa that is, quite frankly, a total game-changer: the dark.
When the sun goes down in our rural partner communities, everything stops. Medical clinics can’t store life-saving vaccines because there’s no power for fridges. Students can’t finish their homework because there’s no light to read by. Small businesses? They shut their doors before they’ve even really gotten going.
The power of a simple spark We’ve been working hard to change that, one solar panel at a time. It sounds simple, but you wouldn't believe the transformation that happens when a community finally gets reliable, clean energy.
Clinics go 24/7: That fridge we power? It means a child gets their immunization on time, every time.
Schools stay open: A lightbulb isn't just a bulb; it’s the difference between a kid finishing their education and falling behind.
Safety & Stability: Suddenly, the community center is a place people can gather after dark, keeping everyone connected and safe.
We’re not just bringing in equipment; we’re bringing in independence. We work with the community to ensure they know how to maintain the systems so they aren't reliant on outsiders forever. We’re building a future that they own!
Little by Little: The Power Play! We have a massive opportunity to scale this up during the Little by Little campaign coming up on March 17th – 20th. GlobalGiving is doing their magic and 50% matching all donations up to $50, while matching funds remain.
A $50 donation from you turns into $75 for us.
That extra $25 is the literal spark that keeps the lights on for a family or a clinic.
These matching funds disappear super fast, so please save the date and jump in on the 17th. Your support helps us move out of the dark and into a brighter, sustainable future for these communities.
Let’s get the lights on!
