Hi All,
After all your generous donations and with the festive season we decided to go out purchase as many pads as we could with the donations and hit our communities giving away free sanitary pads.
We did this because firstly we wanted women to have a lovely festive holiday with their family without fear or embarrassment, secondly it get's our community team talking and we invited everyone to connect with us which was a great success so now we have broken down the first barrier.
Our next priority is to fundraise to purchase the silicone cups that allow women to re-use safely for up to 10 years, however these cups are scary for many women therefore we aim to purchase enough cups for the women then we will run a workshop where we invite the women along and they learn about the cup from a nurse and medical professional. We also provide catering for the women and use a safe space as this way we can ensure women feel comfortable and willing to change their outlook.
