From January 1st to May 2025, Comfort Cases, Inc. has made a profound impact on the lives of children in foster care, distributing a remarkable 8,297 Comfort Cases and 2,907 Comfort XL duffels. These vital donations have reached vulnerable young people across the U.S., Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and the U.K., sending a powerful message that they are cared for, valued, and supported by their communities. Each Comfort Case is thoughtfully packed with essential comfort, educational, and hygiene items, designed to ease the often traumatic transition to new foster homes and provide a sense of dignity.
This year also marks a significant milestone for the organization: the 7th anniversary of founder Rob Scheer being featured as a CNN Hero. This pivotal moment significantly expanded the reach of Comfort Cases, bringing its vital message to a global audience. Rob's journey, from carrying his childhood possessions in a torn trash bag to establishing a movement that has positively impacted thousands of lives, continues to be a profound source of inspiration, driving action and fostering change for children in foster care worldwide.
