Educating families
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project providing non-formal education to disadvantaged girls. We realize early on that we need to educate not only the girls but their families as well and including the male members. Our education is focused on improving livelihoods in the family and the most common is providing support for their food production activities. This reporting period we are able to provide farming inputs to 25 families and we hope to increase the number as we continue implementing this project. Your support is essential and hoping that you will continue to provide help. Again thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Uy

Food processing for improved incomes
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for supporting our project providing non-formal education for disadvantaged girls. We are focusing our efforts to girls who have left formal schooling and trying to earn income or stay at home. Since most of our beneficiaries are daughters of farmers, we focus on attention to helping improve farming enterprise and one of the ways we employ is in training young women to process farm products for the local market. There are a lot of local produce that can be processed into products such as powder, wine, vinegar, tea and many more. In this way, value of crops increase and shelf-life is prolonged not unlike when they are fresh. We plan to apply for accreditation to a government body so that our training could be supported by them. Your continuing help to us is very much needed and hoping that you will continue to support our work.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy

Promoting our volunteers
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing non-formal education to disadvantaged girls. This reporting period we are recognizing the field volunteers that help us hasten our work. This is the reason why we are effective despite the lack of resources because volunteers help us a lot. They know the area and the culture of the place where they are working. They also know local leaders which is important especially during entry and orientation. Our non-formal educational support is focused on on-farm livelihoods as well as home economics subjects. We always do assessment before and after our intervention in the village. Hoping that you will continue to support us.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
