Dear Friends,

While our hearts go out to all those suffering globally, we earnestly ask you to keep the people of Aleppo, Syria, in your thoughts.

The Ongoing Crisis in Syria

Life in Syria continues to be incredibly difficult and uncertain. Millions are displaced, many repeatedly, living in damaged buildings or makeshift camps. The cost of living is spiraling, food is prohibitively expensive, and work is scarce. The country remains deeply scarred by years of civil war. Our "Now is time to help all Syrians" initiative aims to address these widespread challenges.

So far, with the incredible support of 156 donors, we've collectively raised €33,758 towards our €46,454 goal, with €12,696 remaining. We've been active for 2 years on this crucial mission, but we currently have 0 monthly donors. This consistency is vital for long-term planning and steady support!

Our Immediate Response

There is an immediate, critical need for essentials. Your donations help us provide homes, vital food parcels, warm blankets, mattresses, children's shoes and clothing, essential medical supplies, and much more to prevent as much suffering as possible. The harsh winter temperatures and scorching summers add further misery to an already catastrophic situation. Our dedicated local partners have been active since the beginning of the war, consistently reaching out to those most in need, regardless of their background. Children are always our priority.

Looking Ahead: Long-Term Vision & Impact

The people of Syria are exhausted and traumatized. They desperately need everything, from basic clothing and food to safe accommodation. A staggering 90% of Syrians live below the poverty line. This country has endured immense suffering. While the end of cruel international sanctions opens the door for Syria's future reconstruction, your direct help to the most vulnerable families in Aleppo is paramount now. Your donations are literally helping children survive today and giving them hope for a more stable future. We truly believe now is the time to help all Syrians to help themselves.

Stories of Resilience

Every donation translates into a tangible difference—a warm meal for a hungry family, a new pair of shoes for a child walking to school, or a safe place for a displaced family to rest. Our main beneficiaries are families where a woman is head of the family or sole parent. Before they can help themselves, these women need the security and safety of a home and the possibility of access to regular food staples. Their homes are practically unlivable; electricity is about 2 hours per day, and some areas do not have running water. Yet the average monthly rent is $35, a huge cost by Aleppo’s standards. The cost of a monthly food basket is $45 per family. The baskets contains a combination of products that do not require refrigeration and little cooking. By covering these basic costs, the families are protected in their basic needs. Rent and food support benefit the whole family.

Your Urgent Support is Needed

We are so close to reaching our current goal, but the needs in Aleppo are ongoing and immense. Your support, whether a one-time gift or, even better, a monthly contribution, is crucial. Monthly donations provide the consistent funding needed to sustain our efforts and respond immediately to crises as they arise.

Can you help us close the remaining €12,696 gap and provide ongoing support?

  • Make a one-time donation today or
  • Consider becoming a monthly donor to provide continuous aid and stability for vulnerable families. Your consistent generosity can change lives every single day.

Thank you for your compassion and for remembering the people of Syria. Together, we can offer them the lifeline they so desperately need.

Warmly,

The Crete For Life Team
