Since our last update, the fight against illegal fishing remains as urgent as ever. We are still receiving reports from coastal communities about destructive practices, and the threat to marine life continues daily. The need for monitoring, advocacy, and community support has not gone away.
But amidst these challenges, we have some good news that makes all the hard work worthwhile. A reef we attached several months ago is thriving. The corals are growing, small fish are taking shelter, and we have even spotted some new species making it their home. Seeing it flourish reminds us why we do this work and why it matters to keep going.
Our team has been visiting the site regularly, checking on progress and talking to local fishers about the benefits of healthy reefs. Even small successes like this have a ripple effect: fish return, biodiversity improves, and communities start to see that conservation can bring real, tangible benefits.
This victory does not mean the work is done. Illegal fishing continues, and many areas are still at risk. But the thriving reef shows that intervention works and that the combined effort of communities, volunteers, and supporters can bring life back to damaged ecosystems.
Thank you for standing with us. Each contribution, each share, and every bit of awareness helps protect these fragile marine habitats. Moments like watching this reef come alive remind us why every effort matters.
