Offer Hope for 300 Youth in the Dominican Republic

At The Bienvenido Project Funfonavi, we love keeping you in the loop about what we’ve been doing and accomplishing together during the April–June 2025 period.

In April, a group of boys and girls aged 11 to 17 showcased their artistic talents in a theatrical play depicting the life and death of Jesus. The costumes, the language used, and the expressions transported us right back to the culture of the first years after Christ.

Our Music School welcomed new students—full of motivation and eager to learn how to play a musical instrument.

In May, we hosted a group of students from London High School, Canada, along with their teacher and a representative from SINERGIA. The students shared real stories from their school life, inspiring and teaching socio-spiritual values such as equality, friendship, and service among themselves. They also learned about the importance of caring for their surroundings, relationships, and family.

Mr. Fausto Valerio, together with a group of exemplary children and teens, modeled the importance of environmental care and recycling by collecting thousands of plastic bottles in the Bienvenido community and delivering them to a designated collection site.

Also in May, Fundación Fuente de Luz and Red Bendición—the latter led by Mrs. Martha Beato—brought joy to more than 150 children and teens by delivering toys, pizza, soft drinks, and cake, leaving lasting marks of love and happiness in each heart present.

Our feeding program served 9,743 lunch portions and 2,368 breakfasts, reaching a total of 11,011 meals during the quarter.
