By Eric Ortega from Global Changemakers | Programs Manager
This first quarter of 2025 has been full of exciting opportunities for our network of changemakers, from opening applications for our annual Global Youth Summit in Cape Town to online scholarships to enroll in our courses and grants focused on Education and MSRH Projects. As always, we would like to thank you because it is through the support of people like you that we are able to continuously support youth-led impact globally.
Grant Cycle
Our first grantees of 2025 have been selected and we are happy to announce that we will be supporting 19 amazing projects focused on education and Menstrual, Sexual and Reproductive Health across the world. During the final days of March we launched the first Grant Cycle of 2025 and it came with some amazing results, interesting projects. From democratic and voting education for marginalized communities in Perú to Climate education in Malawi and Menstrual Management resources and education in India, our changemakers are creating local positive change at a ground community level.
We will host one more grant cycle during this year, we are only able to get funding opportunities to the changemakers thanks to the support of our donors and sponsors.
Women’s day - Menstruation, santé sexuelle et reproductive
The 8th of March marked the start of an ongoing campaign to socialize and democratize resources and knowledge on Menstrual management and health. We launched the french version of our Menstrual, Sexual and Reproductive Health Course to provide francophone countries with materials on this topic. Our MSRH course is now available in French, Spanish and English. Additionally, projects focused on this topic were one of the main focuses of our grant cycle, that is why we are awarding 100 scholarships to our Project Management Course for the students of MSRH. We will continue this effort to fund MSRH related projects that are women led and impact the intersectionality of health, education and ecology across the world.
Global Youth Summit
We are currently running the last part of our call for applications for our 2025 Global Youth Summit in Cape Town As previous years, this life changing experience (as described by previous participants) will bring together 50 changemakers from across the world to exchange ideas, share experiences and build a community that will support their continuous effort to create positive impact in their countries.
This last stretch means that until the 25th of May people from South Africa are still welcomed to apply so if you know a changemaker based in SA tell them to apply ASAP in the following link:

Our Global Youth Summit will be hosted from the 20 to the 24 of October in partnership with ATKV, so stay tuned for the announcement of the selected changemakers that will attend this year’s cohort. Additionally, every applicant will receive a full scholarship to enroll in the Project Management Course, so even if they are not selected to the summit, they will be able to get tools, knowledge and apply for future funding opportunities for their project.
Ecology Course In Spanish
Our Ecology Course in English has become a staple element of our Changemaker School, it has a holistic approach to ecology that allows changemakers from all areas to incorporate sustainable principles to their work.
The english version of the course has over 1300 students enrolled, this course can provide a new focus for changemaking in the current climate circumstances, specifically in the regions most affected by climate change. With this in mind, we decided to launch Ecología para Changemakers, a new version of the course focused on the struggles and realities of the Latin American region with sponsorship from Earth Rising Foundation and Schneider Electric.
Featuring young leaders, scientists and innovators from Spanish speaking countries in South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
The course is currently in the making and will be launched for free and full access during October 2025.
